Amendments to the Law on Employment of Foreigners, adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on April 25, 2019, made the next step in creating a more favorable business environment that should attract foreign investments. Significant changes introduced by this law include:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Consolidated treatment of the National Employment Service for addressed persons and work permits for movement within companies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Direct exchange of official data between the National Employment Service and diplomatic and consular representative offices, which speeds up the entire process of collecting necessary documentation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Obligation of obtaining the consent and opinion of the relevant ministries ex officio by the National Employment Service.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \n

        It remains to be seen whether these changes will have the planned impact on improvement of the business climate in Serbia, and whether such simplified administrative procedures will lead to a larger inflow of foreign capital into Serbia.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
